Ecological Grief and Its Interactions with Various Eco-Emotions
How do environmental changes affect the way we experience the world? And how is ecological grief related to eco-anxiety, anger, and feelings of guilt? The Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences invites you to a lecture by Dr. Panu Pihkala from the University of Helsinki, one of the leading experts on eco-emotions. Drawing on interdisciplinary research, Pihkala will explore the nature of ecological grief and examine how it resembles – and differs from – other eco-emotions.
The lecture will take place on at the Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences (Jilská 1, Prague 1, Room 124a, 1st floor) on 18 September 2026 at 10:00.
